Our Mission
The RW Towne Foundation’s mission is to provide financial support for Southeast Virginia and Northeast North Carolina non-profit organizations and those needing assistance in our area. We are people working together to make a difference in the lives of others and our community. The RW Towne Foundation has no paid staff. Of the funds we raise, 97.5% go directly to the Foundation programs and the community.
How We Raise Funds
We raise money through events like our annual golf tournament, shoe drive, bowling tournaments, and through donations from our agents and employees via the automatic donation program. Finally, we raise funds from the general public who partner with us to help those in need in our local area.
Turkey Brigade
We are best known for our annual Turkey Brigade where we provide Thanksgiving meals for local families that otherwise wouldn’t have a Thanksgiving meal. We started this over 30 years ago by providing 3 meals to local families. Since then it has grown each year by leaps and bounds. In 2022 we provided 3,500 local families with a full Thanksgiving meal.
The RW Towne Foundation is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
